On January 29, an exclusive customer event hosted by Spitch took place at the FIFA Museum in Zurich, titled “AI in the Insurance Industry – What’s Next After the Hype?”. Over 60 industry experts attended the event and gained valuable insights into the transformation of the insurance industry through the use of modern technologies. The focus was particularly on optimizing contact centers and customer service. Representatives and clients from prominent companies such as Sympany, GVB, CSS, Baloise, and Davero presented best practice examples and shared their experiences. They demonstrated how the use of conversational AI technologies has had a lasting impact on their strategic direction.

In his closing remarks, Dr. Alexey Popov, CEO of Spitch, emphasized the importance of integrating artificial intelligence in the insurance industry to meet rising customer expectations. He highlighted that it is crucial to align technological innovations, optimized processes, and regulatory requirements with customer acceptance. Dr. Popov underscored AI’s potential to enhance personalization, forecasting capabilities, and transparency—particularly through deep integration into existing backend systems and data sources. Although the insurance industry is still behind other sectors, such as banking and telecommunications, in terms of AI application, he pointed out the benefits of improved risk assessment and diversity-oriented customer management.
