Spitch is glad to announce that a new member is joining the team — Georg Theunissen, Director Sales & Consultancy DACH.

«IT and computing power has always fascinated me since I was young, — says Georg Theunissen. — Soon I was programming on my home computers and was playing with numbers. I studied computer science focusing on databases and artificial intelligence, with business administration as a minor».

This fascination took Georg to Malaysia, where he graduated the Master Course of Artificial Intelligence. What influenced him most at that time was the business environment. The university was surrounded by and had strong ties to companies such as Intel, AWD, Siemens, Motorola, and others.

Upon completing his studies, Georg started his own IT infrastructure consultancy, which bridged the various countries & cultures in Asia and Europe. This experience took him to EMC, Matrix42, Appsense and Avaya as Presales and Delivery Manager in charge of sales & consulting. Georg also supported an Asian start-up company and subsequently led it into European markets. Georg enjoys the challenge in an entrepreneurial environment.

In Spitch AG, Georg is responsible for Sales & Consultancy in Switzerland, to be extended to Germany soon. Voice biometrics and speech-driven technologies are set to spread widely in the commercial and public sectors in the near future. Georg is happy to be a part of this exciting change process.

Georg loves the multi-faceted Asian cultures — from jungle hikes to diving at the wonderful coral reefs of Southeast Asia, and plunging into the bustle of mega cities as well as enjoying the wonderful food. Skiing and hiking in the Alps with his wife and two boys also offers Georg a good work-life balance.
