Spitch and its partners Swisscom, Adnovum and swisspro Solutions AG held an event on digital transformation in the public service sector on 16 November 2021 in Zurich.

Dr. Thomas Borer, former Swiss Ambassador, and Dr. Thomas Hurni from the University of Bern shared their expertise on digital transformation in the public service sector and, specifically, on how to avoid some well-known pitfalls as far as the service delivery.

Spitch’s partners demonstrated how text and voice-based conversational AI technologies have been successfully implemented in various projects and how the public service contact centres specifically can benefit from such solutions.

Last but not least, Esther Tanner, project leader at Road Traffic Office of the Canton of Aargau, presented their first use case and spoke about the highly successful collaboration experience with Spitch and Adnovum on the implementation of their voice bot understanding all Swiss German dialects. This project highlighted the pioneering work in the public service that the Road Traffic Office was doing.

About 40 participants of the event demonstrated their keen interest in the innovative solutions, which testifies to the fact that open-dialogue NLU-based text and voice bots offer great potential for ensuring barrier-free and low-threshold access to e-government services around the clock.
