Alexey Popov, the CEO of Spitch AG, was invited to give an interview to the renowned Swiss financial news portal finews.ch and discussed the current state of speech technologies in Switzerland.
In the article, Alexey elaborates on the complexity of the Swiss market with respect to language technologies and how Spitch was able to overcome some concrete challenges. In particular, it was highlighted that Spitch played a pioneering role in creating a speech recognition solution working with the Swiss dialect, which is now perfectly market-ready and may be used in projects with banks and other businesses. Spitch has also established great collaborations with the University of Zurich, ETH and Swisscom that are allowing Spitch to refine its products even further.
Alexey further underlined the great potential and a wide array of opportunities for speech technologies in different industries in Switzerland, emphasizing Spitch's ability to deliver bespoke solutions tailored to client’s individual wishes. He then discusses the possibility of managing mobile banking transactions comfortably by voice whilst driving. On another note, Alexey underlined that Spitch’s software extends, rather than replaces current technologies, such as online banking. He stated that he strongly believes in omni-channel banking where speech recognition has excellent potential for transforming the most important communication channel between banks and clients.
In conclusion Alexey mentioned that Spitch will organize a Webinar jointly with BBA on May 24 and will hold its own event at Hotel Dolder in Zurich on September 22, and that he is looking forward to welcome different companies to our events.
