According to Gartner, artificial intelligence (AI) is at the peak of its hype cycle and hardly any topic is currently as hot as AI. Opinion on AI is divided with leaders and intellectuals like Elon Musk and Stephen Hawking seeing a danger to the future of humanity posed by AI, while the likes of Google-NLP Evangelist Ray Kurzweil see it creating the greatest potential for the progress of science and society.

The fact that opinions diverge so greatly indicates that the concept itself is not clearly defined. While most experts agree that AI is, in the widest sense, the automation of intelligent behaviour, they often overlook the fact that there is already a lack of an exact definition of the concept of intelligence. This is precisely why the organizers regard the next IAMCP Future Trends ICT Event as an occasion to highlight some of the opportunities created by AI, and invited entrepreneurs and experts to share and discuss their experiences.
